HOME CARE
In the palliative care system, the medical team goes to the patient, just opposite to the medical care where patient is taken to the hospital. Patients suffering from chronic illnesses or those who need prolonged treatment like to be in own home, cared by his/her dear and near treated in ways comfortable to him/her. Unlike the commercialized hospital atmosphere, anybody would like domestic, affectionate atmosphere. Our Home care system makes the patient a “VIP”. Those with incurable or chronic diseases like cancer, stroke, spine damage, kidney disease, mental illness, old age related issues, lung disorders, aids etc. need daily treatments and care.
DAY CARE
To provide mental happiness to patients, we conduct many get-togethers, tours and other activities. Weekly “sangamams” of bedridden and mental patients are a means of solace for them as they can share their joys and sorrows, show their abilities in their artefacts. We used to conduct a lot of Picnic and Sightseeing programs for our patients and families. Through Such kind of activities many became mentally fit enough to think of marriage and now enjoy family life.
REHABILITATION
Volunteers are very keen and vigilant in rehabilitation activities of patients laid by spinal problems, stroke, mental illness or other chronic ailments. You can participate in our rehabilitation activities through sponsoring small shops, houses, working equipments, job opportunities etc.
DIALYSIS
As we all know, Dialysis is one of the costliest treatments because it is a prolonged one. Even millionaires become bankrupts because of renal diseases. For the last three years we have been providing Dialysis accessories for patients who are under treatment in private clinics. This project gave us courage to start a dialysis centre on our own. With generous donation and sponsoring from good souls, the centre became a reality in the year 2012. The total expenditure for this project was around Rs 45 lakh. The first ever dialysis centre under a palliative clinic in Kerala has become a centre of solace for hundreds of patients. The clinic has to find around rupees 22 lakh per annum for running the Dialysis centre alone without compromising the quality of other service. That is why we genuinely request you to help us by regular monthly donations, sponsorship of patients or dialysis or through permanent membership.
